What
is Superhighway To Hell?
In the beginning, STH was a column in
the widely-read Satanic magazine, Not Like Most -- namely, its
third issue. In 1999, it moved from NLM to become its own publication.
The print version lasted through four editions (2000-2003),
after which being moved once more -- this time to an online
format, which you are now perusing.
STH fills the gap left behind -- intentionally or not -- from
webmasters (or lack thereof). We strive to provide a comprehensive
site strictly dedicated to accurate information on Satanism
and Satanism online combined, seeing that such a site is a viable
option to clicking through link after link in cyberspace just
to find the real deal.
Are all of the sites listed strictly linked to Satanism?
Some of the sites linked from STH
are here solely because of their relevance to Satanic thinking
and aesthetics, without necessarily having a formal association
with Satanism or the Church of Satan. They are sites of potential
interest to Satanists on that level, although unintentionally
as they were probably meant for a secular audience. Still,
we as Satanists have a broad range of interests -- a few of
which sparked from the writings of Dr. LaVey. In an either
direct or oblique sense, these seemingly "non-Satanic"
sites have relevance to us, hence, their inclusion.
Do
you accept URL, review, and review update submissions?
Yes. Provided the URLs lead to sites
not hostile to the Church of Satan and Satanism, and do not
provide links to anti-CoS sites. (Incidentally, if you discover
a site linked here that later procures a link to such sites,
please report them to us via e-mail.)
Review and review update submissions should be spellchecked,
proofread, well-written, informed, and succinct. Looking through
the available reviews should give you a good gauge in this
respect. All reviews should be submitted by e-mail, complete
with reviewer name and contact information.
How
about article submissions?
Yes. Articles should respect our
pro-Church of Satan stance, and, as above, should be spellchecked,
proofread, well-written and informed. Length of article is
up for negotiation, but strive to keep it focused and organized.
All articles should be submitted via e-mail, along with author's
name and contact info. If you have a pro-Church of Satan website,
it might also be linked at the end of your article, dependent
upon content and design.
How
come a review summary differs from the site itself?
Mainly, this is because websites don't
always stay the same. In fact, many webmasters put their sites
through frequent radical changes in layout and content. If
you notice a discrepancy, e-mail us and let us know so we
can update our listings.
Do
you report on offline ventures in the News section?
Officially, we prefer to keep it overwhelmingly
concentrated on online endeavors. The only real exception
will be to mention non-Internet releases and news that have
a reasonably strong tie-in to the Internet, such as mp3 downloads,
additional info at a corresponding website, etc. If you wish
to send along news items (along with corresponding URLs),
we'd love to consider them, provided you keep all of this
in mind.
Can
I take STH material and use it on my own site?
The short answer is no. In fact,
the entire contents of this site, unless otherwise noted,

may not MODIFY, COPY, REPRODUCE, REPUBLISH, UPLOAD, POST,
